It started in 1980 as an eight-store experimental division of women's speciality apparel and accessories, targeting the 20 to 30 year-old customer, a younger market than The Limited's. Express is primarily known for their jeans and denim apparel. The division later changed its name to Express in 1982. This dates the sweater back to the early 80s.
