Vtg 60s Walton Pierce Co. Grosse Pointe Rose Dress

Beautiful vintage floral sleeveless dress by designer Walton Pierce Co. at Grosse Pointe, couture clothier of the Detroit auto barons. The custom 1960s dress features a fit and flair shape with a wide gentle scoop neck and V-shape at the back. The piece is constructed from a beautiful silky cotton blend type material with pink rose clusters, deep purple and green leaves on a teal background. The back of the dress has two bustle flaps framed by black velvet bows at the top of the pleats that add volume and shape to the skirt. There is a hidden zip closure and hook & eye clasp. The dress is in good pre-owned vintage condition (see photo with one purple marker stain pointed out that blends in to the pattern). Otherwise, the dress is in excellent condition with little sign of wear. Dress measurements (roughly size 12): - pit to pit: 20" - waist: 14.5" - skirt length from waist to hem: 24" - front center neckline to hem: 37 3/4" Perfect for retro, coquette, and twee vintage styling.
