Vtg 1983 Coleco Cabbage Patch Kid African American Girl Red Corduroy Pigtails

Authentic early Coleco Cabbage Patch Kid manufactured for Original Appalachian Artworks, Inc., circa 1983–1984. This beautiful vintage doll features the classic brown yarn pigtails tied with white ribbons, soft brown fabric body, and the Xavier Roberts signature on the lower back. She’s dressed in her original red corduroy overalls with white lace-trimmed blouse and white vinyl shoes. The tag reads ©1978, 1982 Original Appalachian Artworks, Inc., manufactured for Coleco Industries, Amsterdam, NY. This confirms her as one of the early Coleco production runs made in China. She has the rounded cheeks and gentle smile typical of the first-generation designs that made the Cabbage Patch Kids famous. Condition: Excellent clean condition overall, small mark in her chin (*See pics**) The fabric is clean and unfaded, and her shoes and body remain firm and intact.
