Vtg. 1960's Turquoise Brocade V-neck Sleeveless Evening Gown & Jacket Ensemble is floor length, back of skirt has deep sexy slit. Jacket sleeves are bracelet length, big covered buttons, flattering princess seaming, hand made bound button holes, portrait collar. Dress and jacket are fully lined. Jacket can also be worn as a top. This beautiful ensemble was custom made by a high end professional dress-maker. It is beautifully made. There is no label as dress was custom made. This type of ensemble is reminiscent of designs by Hubert Givenchy and was worn by high profile women such as top fashion model Suzy Parker and her sister Dorian Leigh, First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy and her sister Princess Lee Radziwell, Princess Margaret Rose, actresses ( and Hollywood Royalty) Claudia Cardinale, Audrey Hepburn, Sophia Lauren and Elizabeth Taylor. It was the height of Mid-Century Modern Glamour for the who’s who of the early 1960’s fashion world. Measurements: Dress: Bust 38", Waist 28" Hips 38" Length of dress shoulders to hem 56" _ Shoulder to waist length is 16" . Waist to hemline Length is 40' Jacket is sized to fit loosely over dress. Bust is fitted with darts. You should allow for some positive ease in the dress so you can move comfortably. Skirt could be hemmed easily if needed.
