This vintage porcelain German Form 2000 coffee pot / tea pot / carafe from the 1950s is a beauty! Just plain white and totally minimalist to let you appreciate its modernist form.
So retro and yet so contemporary at the same time! Timeless classic - elegant and sophisticated.
Designed by USA designer team Raymond Loewy and Richard Latham in 1954 and produced until 1988. The plain white version was made from 1956 and won the Premio Internazionale at Vicenza in 1961. In 1961 this pattern became became part of the Rosenthal Studio-Linie, with Studio-Linie stamp, so this coffee pot was produced before 1961.
It is in perfect condition and shows no signs of use. It is free of chips, cracks, crazing, stains, etc. and is in a pure white high gloss glaze. With the lid in place, it stands about 10" inches tall, and it holds approximately four cups of liquid. The bottom is stamped "Rosenthal, Germany".
