Vtg 1943, Thomad Jefferson, Hendrik Willem Van Loon Cloth Book

THOMAS JEFFERSON written and illustrated by Hendrik Willem van Loon was published 1943 in New York by Dodd, Mead & Co. This is the 1st edition. The book measures 7 7/8" x 10" with 106 pages, color and b+w illustrations, color pictorial map endpapers. Note: See inside endpaper as there is a label - It appears this book was present by the United States Information Library in 1947 to a library in Paris, France - which was later Discarded. There is an inscription in 1984 as it appears at that time to be given as a gift. Also note there is some discoloration on some pages and the red cloth is loose from the spine on the front cover, but intact in the back.
