Vntg Rare Maling Pottery Newcastle On Tyne England 10.5" Blue Willow Plate

This lovely rare square, scalloped/fluted "Blue Willow" wall hanging (comes with optional wall hanger) Plate by Maling pottery has makers mark with a castle logo were used from the 1920s through the closure of the factory in 1963. The inclusion of "Made in England" became common after 1921 due to the McKinley Tariff Act. The words "Newcastle-on-Tyne" and "Made in England" also stamped on the bottom. Note the faint crazing of the glaze on this piece. Also a nick where the plate hanger made an indentation. Plate was purchased with the hanger, but I will pad the wire better for you so no further damage can occur.
