These earrings are made from coins made from copper/nickel. Honoring Tupac Amaru.
Túpac Amaru II (born 1740–42?, Peru—died May 18, 1781, Cuzco, Peru) was a Peruvian Indian revolutionary, a descendant of the last Inca ruler, Túpac Amaru, with whom he was identified when he led the Peruvian peasants in an unsuccessful rebellion against Spanish rule. The muleteer and trader who claimed descent from Inca royals, led an Andean revolt against Spanish colonial rule and was gruesomely executed on May 18, 1781, has been appropriated as a symbol by guerrillas and governments.
His namesake, American rapper Tupac Amaru Shakur, added to his international aura.
All the added "dangles" are hand cut and assembled. They are lovely and hang elegantly from the ear 2"
