Turner Field served as the home stadium for the Atlanta Braves from 1997 to 2016. The stadium was originally built as the Centennial Olympic Stadium for the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. After the Olympics, it was reconfigured into a baseball park and renamed Turner Field. The Braves played their inaugural game at Turner Field on April 4, 1997.
