Their label — “Evans Furs, Chicago – America’s Largest Exclusive Furriers” — is classic for coats made roughly from the 1940s–1970s. The coat has narrow vertical pelts, soft sheen, and a rich brown color. The texture and pattern strongly resemble mink fur, which was one of Evans’ most common and popular furs.
