When light hits this ring it sparkles, but I was able to capture this in the photos. Ruby has a refractive index between 1.762 and 1.778, while zoisite's refractive index ranges from 1.691 to 1.700. These differing refractive indices contribute to how light interacts with the combined stone, creating sparkle. Ruby in Zoisite, also known as Anyolite, is a combination of ruby crystals within a green zoisite matrix. This unique rock is found only in small-scale mines in Tanzania. Rubies are symbolic of fire, while zoisite is an earthly crystal. Thus, ruby-in-zoisite is an ideal gemstone for balancing the fire and earth elements and energies. It is said to help us live with joy and gratitude.
