Vintage celluloid dog brooch made in Japan

Darling vintage celluloid brooch featuring two dog faces with bows, marked Occupied Japan on the back. In fantastic vintage condition- no breaks on this delicate piece. The details were hand painted and one dog’s eye has a bit of black paint drip, but I think that this small flaw adds charm and humor to the piece (as does the painted red tongues) - see photos.
