This tie was custom made for executives of Manufacturer's Hanover, ("Manny Hanny" to those familiar with it): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manufacturers_Hanover_Corporation
It was once considered one of the top banks in the United States, and one of the oldest financial institutions with origins tracing back to the 1850s, known for its stability right up until the early 1990s when it merged with Chemical, then Chase Bank. A contributing factor to their downfall was debtors struggling to pay back their loans - famously, Donald Trump was one of those failing to pay back hundreds of millions and caused the bank to take a significant loss. If they hadn't stepped in at the 11th hour to bail him out, where would we be now?
Made of 100% silk, it is embroidered with currencies from across the globe. Dark grey with a near-metallic, steel - silvery sheen, texture of the fabric is unique with diagonal subtle ridges. Slightly slimmer than an average tie, but wider than a skinny tie.
Appears never worn. Comes in original box.
