Vintage Zardozi Black Velvet Evening Purse Metal Thread Goldwork Embroidery

This black velvet ladies evening bag is Zardozi embroidered with gold colored metal wire threads, a process known as goldwork. The bag has a gold rope cord handle. 18” drop. The fold over top opens to a black satin lined interior. There is a zippered pocket on the far side. There is a snap but it doesn’t work, I’m sure it could be fixed. Circa 1950’s - India.
