17.5 inches across the waist. Very patchwork feel, one part of actual wear I see is slight wear in the crotch area, pictured in the rise photo. Some of the edges are raw on purpose and it looks like bottom of the jeans look like someone tried to make them shorter and then undid it, so there's a slight crease, pictured.
