Vintage Wu Xing Three Elements Sterling Silver & Brass Artisan Dangle Earrings

These pair of earrings represent the Wu Xing, also known as the Five Elements in traditional Chinese philosophy. The Wu Xing are Wood (木), Fire (火), Earth (土), Metal (金), and Water (水). These earrings feature symbols for three of these elements. Design: The earrings have a rectangular, textured silver base with three circular emblems stacked vertically. Each emblem has a different symbol representing an element. Two bars are attached horizontally to the sides of the rectangular base. Symbols: The top symbol, which appears to be Metal (金), often represented by gold or white and associated with autumn, dryness, and the planet Venus.
