Vintage Woodpecker Woodware made in Japan has a MCM vibe with beautiful tall wooden bases and heavy metal tops. The salt shaker has a screw off lid. The pepper mill you have to remove the top piece, then the handle and the nut to take off the top. Load with peppercorn. We put a spoon through the bottom slot to push up the metal insert to make it tall enough to reassemble, finger tight. Rare style.
