This is a truly unique art form which results in extremely beautiful objects enhanced even more by the grain and warmth of wood. All are hand cut and finished in the United States. Absolutely beautiful Wood Quilt from Dave and Jeannie Wert. They were a family business owned and operated in Springdale, AR since 1986. They closed the business in 2010. The back says: This quilt quilt features a unique form of parquetry and is hand painted and signed by a "stay-at-home mom". We have many traditional quilt designs and each piece is individually cut. Please note the character and individually of the wood as God created every piece differently. There are initials that look like PH. There is a number that is #098. Measures 5" x 5". Also on the back there is a hook for hanging and it looks like someone put their finger through the backing. It does not affect the presentation of the piece. It is in great Vintage condition from 1986. In the pictures on the right hand side at the top there are 2 small brush strokes and on the left at the top on the edge the same thing. I believe they are paint but I did not try to clean them. They just add character to the piece. Reference: PS 3
