Vintage White Enamel Enamelware Canister - French Country Farmhouse Cottage

This is a great vintage piece of enamelware! I believe it came from a doctor's office. I can barely make out the word "wipes" written on one side in marker, so it probably held alcohol wipes prior to its retirement. It most likely dates to the 1940s or 50s. As mentioned, there is some faint writing visible, and I'd think that there's a way to remove it. I've taken photos of the canister on all 4 "sides". It measures 7" tall (including lid) and approximately 5" in diameter. There is some chipping to the enamel along the rim and edge of the lid, as well as some light scuffing. Clean and comes from a smoke-free home.
