Vintage Westmoreland slag glass covered dish. The dish is made of blue and white slag glass, which is a type of opaque pressed glass with colored streaks, also known as marbled glass. The lid of the dish features a figurine of a dog lying down on a basket-like base. The company Westmoreland Glass Company produced many of these "animal on nest" covered dishes in the 1930’s.
