Vintage Wedgwood Jasperware 1981 Commemorative Christmas Mug featuring the London's Marble Arch A fabulous Wedgwood unglazed blue and white Jasperware Wedgwood commemorative Christmas 1981 Tankard Mug with applied raised white bas relief design of Marble Arch. The other side has a roundel which says “Christmas 1981”. The Limited Edition souvenir collectible Wedgwood tankard features a foliage border along the base and on top of the handle. It is the 11th in the yearly series. Each commemorative tankard was offered for one year only and then the original moulds were destroyed and no further copies made. This annual collection was inaugurated in 1971. Other London landmarks feautured on the Christmas mugs are St Paul’s Cathedral 1972, The Tower of London 1973 and The Houses of Parliament 1974.
