This poor bloke has suffered minor damage to his front-left cerebral cortex (small chip on the rim), which happened a lot in the 70s. TBH, I can't really even consider such a chip to be a flaw, as it's really befitting the personality of this mug. Other than his single scar, he has weathered the decades very well. He looks like a Joe to me, probably because of the mustache, but you can name him whatever you want. Except Cindy. Don't do that to him. His unglazed parts are a tan, grainy, sandy ceramic, like maybe he spends a lot of time at the beach. At least I know that happens to my unglazed parts when I spend too much time at the beach, so I suspect that Ol' Joe might just be an old school beach bum. Or a dirt farmer.
