Vintage Mexican butterfly brooch. Acquired from a private estate collection, this bohemian pin is handcrafted in Tumbaga metal, a non-specific alloy of gold and copper. The butterfly is inlaid with azurite and malachite (azur-malalachite) gemstone chips, creating a beautiful blue and green mosaic. Stamped “Tumbaga Mexico” on back. Rare and highly collectible. 1.5” length and 1.3” width. Excellent pre-owned condition.
