What a unique find.
This is a vintage miniature chair, made from tin cans, with a green velvet or velveteen cushion.
This type of folk art is sometimes referred to as "tramp art" or "hobo art".
It was a popular hobby in the 1940s and 1950s, where people would use thin strips of tin to create intricate designs.
The chairs were often used as dollhouse furniture or pincushions.
The chair is a handmade, unique piece of art.
The chair does rock back and forth. It measures 4 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches wide. It is vintage and made from an old tin can. Thus you have the color of what an old tin can looked like in the 1940's.
It has some patina but that is what makes it unique and a piece of history.
While there doesn't seem to be any sharp edges it would be wise not to put this where small children can play with it and put it in their mouth.
There are no markings so it will be listed as unbranded.
Another great piece of history.
