This beautifully framed quality reprint from of a photo from 1900s shows the San Francisco Bay from Oakland and South San Francisco on the left and Richmond and Tiburon on the right with Berkeley with the university in the center, taken from the hills above. Shot and first published by William Henry Jackson who founded the Detroit Photographic Co., in 1888 and documented natural and man-made monuments all over the world from. He is known for a Swiss color process called photolithography called “Photochrom” process. This process permitted the mass production of color postcards, prints, and albums for sale to the American market. Image is 24" x 8", framed is 29" x 13".
