Amazing piece of history in this rare hat! Bill is a leather style top and the rest of the hat seems like a wool style material. Strapback with minor wear on the strap and clasp. No materials make up tag but that would be indicative of the style and materials of the day. The 1999 Alamo Bowl, held on December 28 in San Antonio, saw Penn State dominate Texas A&M in a 24-0 shutout, the first in the bowl’s history. Penn State, entering the game with a 9-3 record, was favored over 8-3 Texas A&M, with predictions anticipating a close matchup. However, the Nittany Lions exceeded expectations with a commanding defensive performance and strong offensive showing.
Hat model has around a 21.5” head size from where it’s sitting in photos. At its current adjusted state (as shown in photos) fits around a 22” size head nicely.
