Vintage Swoboda Sea Shell Pendant Rare Piece
Beautiful gold tone conch shell pendant with a purple shell inside.
Swoboda jewelry, known for its use of semi-precious stones and 24k gold plated settings, was founded by Edward Swoboda in Los Angeles. The company operated from 1956 to 1979, with pieces often featuring baroque-shaped, hand-polished stones glued into place, sea shells being some of the more rare pieces.
Swoboda jewelry also sparked the popularity of tumbled stones. Edward Swoboda and Warren Jones produced a machine, the "gem tumbler"
The chain included is an unbranded chain. The pendant is pre-owned in good condition. Although the artist is known for 24k gold plated pieces, the pendant is untested and I do not think it is gold plated.
No chain is included, add this beautiful pendant to your favorite necklace chain.
