Vintage S Kirk & Son Spoon Brooch Sterling Silver Beautiful Floral Raised Detailed Salt Spoon Brooch Pin. I think the flower might be a poppy. Sweet little spoon brooch of solid sterling with beautifully detailed floral embossed raised pattern on handle and round shape bowl, natural patina, very pretty! Hallmarked "S Kirk & Son Sterling" Measures a little under 2 1/2" long. In very good condition, no damage to spoon, pin back is slightly bent but still works great! History: The spoon brooch has been around since the 1800's from what I could find the spoon serves as a symbol of hospitality. They were very popular in the 1940's and 1950's, brides to be wore them and gave them to their bridesmaids and it was usually the brides registered pattern.
