Vintage Sterling Silver Ring: Hubble Glass Turquoise Blue 1940s 40s Modern

This is a sweet vintage sterling silver ring. It is done in a modern, clean-lined manner. The center is a piece of blue Hubble glass that is pretty with it's soft blue coloring and light mottling. It is bezel set and the sterling ring wraps the top and bottom. As per Google: Hubble glass jewelry features a light blue, often opaque, glass from Italy, Bohemia, and Czechoslovakia, named after trader Lorenzo Hubbell. These beads and cabochons were used to substitute for costly natural turquoise in Southwest Native American jewelry during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, making them a popular and collectible item when turquoise was scarce.
