Vintage Sterling Silver Marriage Box from India

This charming sterling silver floral etched box from India has inset portraits of a man and a woman. Lovely etched details on the side and front. Vintage. Purchased in India in the 80’s. Condition: some faint water stains on both portraits. Other than that in great vintage condition with a wonderful patina on the silver. Not marked as sterling but tests positive for 925 sterling or higher. These boxes are traditionally done in high quality silver known as Indian silver or Indian sterling silver. Dimensions: approximately 4 inches by 3 inches with a depth of one inch, minus insets on the inside.
