Vintage Sterling Silver Bloodstone Ring Size 10

I personally enjoy the patina and tarnishing on old jewelry. Unfortunately this group of jewelry I received was cleaned by someone recently. This ring looks new but is pre 2000’s. It’s sterling silver, large pear shaped faceted Bloodstone. Stamped 925 and tested, size 10. Unknown maker. In great condition Bloodstone, also known as heliotrope, is a dark green chalcedony gemstone with red or orange flecks of iron oxide. It's a variety of plasma gemstone and the traditional second birthstone for March. The name "heliotrope" comes from ancient Greek words meaning "sun" and "turning", possibly referencing how the red spots make the stone appear to change color in the sun. Bloodstone is a relatively soft stone, ranking around 7 on the Mohs hardness scale.
