Purchased by my father in Dagestan in 1976 - directly from the maker.   Stamped 875 - which is a Soviet-era hallmark for 87.5% pure silver,  also stamped with makers mark  Also stamped with a star - The star is part of the official Soviet assay mark, and is paired with a hammer and sickle, indicating the silver was produced in the USSR and conforming to its standards.  Weights approximately 26.5 grams Its bendable - so can be sized -  previously worn condition with usual scuffs, consistent with wear and age.
