Vintage Small Dark Cobalt Blue Glass Jar with Glass Stopper

Elegant cobalt blue glass jar with a matching glass stopper. Perfect for decor or storage. This is a beautiful dark small cobalt blue glass apothecary jar.  Function: Apothecary jars were traditionally used to store and preserve various substances, including herbs, spices, crude drugs, compounded medicines, and liquids, in apothecaries, pharmacies, hospitals, and monasteries.  Materials: While originally made from materials like ceramic, wood, and metal, glass became a common material, especially for storing liquids like oils, tinctures, and syrups.  Modern Use: Today, apothecary jars are often used for decorative purposes, candle making, or in laboratory settings for storing chemicals and reagents.  This dark Cobalt Blue glass apothecary jar is in excellent vintage condition. There are no cracks or chips. The glass stopper fits as it should. The edges are smooth with issues noted. I do not know what it was originally used for and there are no markings so it be listed as unbranded. It measures 3/4 inches wide at the top opening and alittle over 2 Inches tall. The glass stopper is about 1 inch tall and about 1/4 inch wide at the bottle. The stopper doesn't fit tight but it fits the opening as it should.
