Vintage * Small BEADED Coin PURSE * circa '30s * strap to slide hand in back

VINTAGE * and unfortunately, this elderly lady is definitely showing her age. She was my grandmother's and went to many parties in her youth. I originally thought this was from the '40s, but thinking about that tag which says "Made in Japan", I'm guessing it was actually from the '30s instead. It's about 4-1/2" across at the top ~ 5-1/4" across at the bottom ~ 3" tall. It's really only meant for a lipstick and maybe a few dollars ~ maybe a car key (if it wasn't on a keychain). There's a pocket inside, so I guess you could fold a couple of dollars and put them in there. Note that there's a beaded "strap" on the back, where your hand slides through. So, you don't have to set a purse down when you're out dancing! (Oh, wait!! Now, I'm thinking maybe it's from the '20s!! I know my grandmother and grandfather were quite the "Bees Knees" during Prohibition in Chicago in the '20s!! and my grandmother taught me how to Charleston!) I sure wish this little coin purse could talk!! Not sure I can put a price on this ........
