Vintage Slovakian Wedding Plate

Beautiful vintage Slovakian hand-painted traditional wedding platter with a bride being prepared for her wedding by two bridesmaids. On the top is an image of a church, on the bottom is what looks like houses that make up the town, and a floral pattern on either side. Around the edge is a traditional song EJ, OD BUCHLOVA VIETOR VEJE : "ej od buchlova vetr veje, uz tej kacence pantle bere dneska nevesta, zajtra zena, dnes vecer budes zacepena" The plate is done in very vibrant happy colors- reds, yellows, blues, greens- all against a white background that makes them pop! It measures about 15 1/4" in diameter and is hallmarked on the back as well signed. I LOVE vintage antique and unique items! I source our eclectic items locally in St.Louis.
