This is a very pretty vintage silver-plated dish. My parents received it as a gift for their 25th ("silver" anniversary) in 1959. The etching is possibly inspired by a Japanese aesthetic. The arched handle is naturalistically formed as ribbon tied branches. The dish is engraved with two birds in the branches of flowering trees (they look like cherry blossoms). The bottom has the Horace Woodward & Company Atlas mark with an O underneath. Also engraved is a DR/ and the number 2635. We were able to find a nearly identical dish on an auction site located in Ireland. I will update this listing with measurements in the coming days. Pretty serving dish or a decorative piece. I cleaned it but it could still use a little more polishing. Thanks for looking!
