Vintage Silver Tone Grasshopper Bug Hat/Lapel Pin A.E. Forgione '74 Faneuil Hall

Stick pin/hat pin/lapel pin of the famous grasshopper weathervane on top of Faneuil Hall, designed by A.E. Forgione. The grasshopper is a pewter color (silver-gray) and the metal is probably pewter. Stamped on back as in the photos. The length of the grasshopper is approx. 1.25" and the length of the stick pin and grasshopper is approx. 2-1/8" The famous grasshopper weathervane on top of Faneuil Hall was commissioned by Peter Faneuil in 1742, it was designed to complement the grasshopper weathervane atop the Royal Exchange in the City of London, and help symbolize the new building as the capital of finance in the New World.
