Vintage Silk Purple Handmade lrotomesode Kimono

Vintage Irotomesode Silk Kimono - handmade, exquisite craftmanship Purple silk exterior & red-orange silk lining. Hand stitched - much of the stitching is visible white thread. Gorgeous abstract floral /tree design on bottom front w/ a Phoenix bird on each side in shades of green, gold, bronze, blue, pink & white. This bird is a positive symbol of rebirth, immortality, fortune, peace, prosperity, resilience, renewal. The back of the Kimono features 3 family crests. The number of crests indicates the prestige of the kimono. This kimono features 3 crests meaning it is a Irotomesode, the 2nd highest level of prestige. It is estimated to be from the 1940s but I do not know for sure Good vintage condition with flaws: - some loose stitches at the seam of the armpit and neckline. - some barely visible marks & two tiny holes on exterior & some pin holes on interior Approx.
