Vintage Signed Clarence A. Wells Northwest Coast Hand Drum with Striker

This is a vintage hand drum with original striker by world renowned Native American artist and carver Clarence A. Wells. Clarence was a member of the Northwest Coast First Nations and his artwork references nature that is so significant to Indigenous beliefs, history and lore. Clarence unfortunately passed away this year. This drum depicts the Eagle with full wingspan, two salmon, sky, sun, and earth. These elements are deeply interconnected, forming a sacred web of existence where all living things are part of nature, rather than separate from it. Various tribes have their own creation stories and ceremonies that emphasize the profound spiritual significance of these three realms.
