Set of two vintage Seven Star ceramic tiles with ornate cast iron frames, made in Japan. Designs feature classic Currier & Ives rural scenes: American Homestead Summer and A Lumbering New England Cider Making Quinebaug Rives.
Backstamp shows a crowned 7 and the name SEVEN STAR with mold number T-6 – this is a mid-century (circa 1950s–1970s) Japanese decorative line known for high-quality ceramic tiles in wrought or cast iron frames.
•Frame: Cast iron with an ornate, scrollwork pattern; built-in hanger/stand.
•Tiles: Bright graphics, light age-related crazing or minor wear typical of vintage pieces.
•Frames: Black paint with expected small rubs and light oxidation in spots.
•Backs: Clean; each stamped 7 STAR / T-6 with a wired hanger/stand intact.
Please look carefully at all pictures, as they are an integral part of description.
