Antique sepia-toned group photograph. Features multiple individuals in period attire. Perfect for vintage decor or collectors.
This is for both photographs good condition, but not perfect. The one has the heavy paper frame.
Super unique rare and one of a kind
Old photos are often sepia-toned because a chemical process called sepia toning was used to make black-and-white prints more durable and resistant to fading. The process converts the metallic silver in the print to a more stable silver sulfide compound, and the resulting brown tone was also an intentional aesthetic choice to add warmth to images that could otherwise look stark.
