Vintage Santa Claus Bank Coin Bank Spaghetti Trim Japan 1950's-60's. Vintage ceramic Santa bank made in Japan in the 1950's or early 1960's. It is often referred to as a "Spaghetti Trim Santa" due to the textured ceramic detail on the trim of the suit and hat. Santa is holding a pack full of toys and waving with some holly in his other hand. Original stopper is present; however, due to its age it has lost its nimbleness. If removed it most likely will crumble. When looking down on the top of the hat's pom-pom, I can't tell if there's some missing "spaghetti". It does not look chipped or broken, but there's a slight bare spot; the glaze is present on the spot, which indicates no breaks (see pics 5 &6.). Santa's paint color is vivid and no chipping. There are no chips or cracks to the bank, except for the possible hat detail mentioned. For the age, this piece is in outstanding condition! Use as a bank or figurine in your Christmas decor.
