This colorful postcard shows crowds of bathers enjoying the waters of the Great Salt Lake with the ornate Saltair Pavilion in the background. Originally issued as a souvenir card, this example is complete with its attached cloth bag reading "Salt from Great Salt Lake Utah."

Historical Note: Saltair was built in 1893 as a resort on the Great Salt Lake, often called the "Coney Island of the West." Souvenir postcards with attached salt bags are highly collectible pieces of Utah history.
