Vintage Salt Cellars (2) Made In Austria

Two vintage porcelain salt cellars, also known as open salts or salt dips.  They are characterized by their iridescent luster finish and gold-gilded edges. They are a light green in color with a black outline between the green and the gold. The gold is intact with some light wear noted on the inside lip. It is not noticeable and does not affect the presentation nor the use of the pieces. It These specific pieces are described as having a scalloped rim and resting on three feet.  The image is the porcelain mark that reads "VIENNA AUSTRIA" and includes a crown and two elephant-like figures. This mark indicates the item was manufactured in Vienna, Austria. They are miniature in size, suitable for serving individual portions of salt at a dining table.  They measure 1 3/4 inches wide, 1/2 inch deep, and 1 inch tall. There are no chips, cracks or crazing noted. They are marked on the bottom of each piece. What a cute addition to your table for the holidays.
