A Royal Worcester egg coddler is a porcelain container used to cook eggs by soft-boiling them without the shell, made by the Royal Worcester company. To use one, crack an egg into the greased coddler, add other ingredients if desired, screw on the lid, and place it in a pot of simmering water so that the water level is only halfway up the coddler's body. Do not submerge the coddler completely or use it in a microwave or over a direct flame.
