Vintage Royal Winton Grimwades “Old Cottage Chintz” Covered Candy/Trinket Dish

This vintage Royal Winton Grimwades "Old Cottage Chintz" covered candy/trinket dish is a charming piece of decorative collectible from the United Kingdom. Made of ceramic, featuring a multi-color chintz design in a classic Old Cottage Chintz style with gold along the edges, this original piece dates back to the 1934-1950 era. The Y on the lid may be a Decorator's or gilder's mark: Small symbols like letters were sometimes used by individual artists or gilders within a pottery factory to identify their work. The "Y" may have been applied by the person who added the gold finish. The dish is 4" across and 1 3/4" high. The dish itself shows very minor wearing on the gold finish. I don't know if the felt on the bottom was added or ? No chips or cracks.
