Vintage Royal Albert September Song Cake Plate fine bone china. Made in England. This pattern features 4 yellow motifs with floral roses and is accentuated by decorative gold on edges & handles. Excellent condition, no flaws, chips, cracks or crazing. Very glossy white with no stains. Gentle golds, browns and yellows make this a serene autumn pattern from 1970's. For Royal Albert he considered the English fondness for cottage gardens & shady woods naturally inspiring thousands of designs - motifs which have been adapted & updated through period fashions, such as 1920s vivid Art Deco floral patterns. It’s proved a winning tableware formula for over 50 years. Natural design remains a passion to this day. Harold Holdcroft was succeeded by Peter Roberts in 1972 at Royal Albert and the current Design Studio continues the floral tradition such as the 1970s monthly pattern September Song cake plate.
