Vintage Royal Albert Flower of the Month #5 May Hawthorn Teacup & Saucer

Exquisite vintage hand-painted footed teacup and saucer set from Royal Albert and their “Flower of the Month Series”. Made of fine bone china in England. The cup stands 2 3/4” tall and has an opening of 2 3/4”. The saucer is 5 1/2” across. Produced by Royal Albert in the 1950’s and 1960’s, this earlier Flower of the Month series features a Hampton-shaped cup and a back stamp detailing the birth month as a number (in this case #5). The set is delicate and colourful and features hand-painted hawthorn flowers among green and purple foliage. The edges of the teacup and saucer are gilded in gold. In excellent vintage condition.
