I think the year text is 1989 - see photo Vintage Approximate Measurements Height without lid 4" Rim Diameter 4" Pre-owned. Very Good Condition Lid is loose fitting - sits on top of jar I believe this was designed for storing your left-over lard or bacon fat. I remember my grandmother saving her bacon fat in a jar like this.
