Vintage Rouge Gorge Couture Silk Evening Skirt Suit RARE RARE RARE!

Luxurious Gilded Age-inspired vintage French couture raw silk evening jacket and A-line long skirt set, with contrasting striped and baroque patterns in champagne and taupe. The rolled lapel of the jacket is unlike anything I’ve ever seen! It’s a statement piece that simply NEEDS to be seen and will have everyone asking “WHERE? WHO?? HOW??” 🙌🏻 I have a sneaking suspicion that this was custom-made or was perhaps a show piece for a collection dating back to the 1980s or earlier! Silk is unforgiving and has ZERO stretch, so I’ve given the measurements below but - in my opinion - it is best for a size 6ish. Laying Flat: Skirt 14” waist 17” hips 40” length Jacket 18” PTP (v-neck and curved darting/seaming for 34-6A-B or small C cup) 16” shoulder to shoulder 15.5” waist 22.5” length 6” bicep/arm area (best for slender arms) 20” sleeve length 6.5” flared cuff at wrist The set is heavy and fully-lined. Best quality I’ve seen, probably EVER. And I used to work in bridal shops!! Due to its age and storage, there are a few marks at the waist where the skirt was clearly on the same hanger for years, which must have tarnished a bit. Thankfully the jacket covers the spots and its meant to be worn buttoned, so no one will know but YOU!
